After tapering off antipsychotics, how much time it took for your psychosis to come back?

I tapered off of Seroquel and a year later had my second and worst break of my life. It was awful. I’m still recovering and that was 7 years ago. I definitely need my meds and am grateful for them now.

Interesting. For how long have you been doing well without antipsychotics?

Only 2 weeks I am off Invega pills. But I no positive symptoms so I decided to be off AP. I have terrible side effects from APS and I don’t want to talk more about this. I’m not encouraging anything,

When i quit olanzapine first time it took two months until I was hospitalised, the second time, two weeks. My psychotics breaks have been worse and worse. I can’t imagine going off my ap anytime soon

10 months after I had a bad setback. I owned a house and had to sell it.

After my first psychotic episode I convinced myself that it was just a nervous breakdown and stopped my meds…moved to another town, got a new terrific job and two months later was escorted by coworkers to the mental ward…full blown psychotic…don’t do it man, look at what happened to @robertc you don’t want to lose everything you gained, plus when you finally go back on meds it will be harder to treat you !!
