After an episode how long does it take for aps to ease your symptoms?

Just wondering. I still don’t believe I’m physcotic but the phycologist said I am. I’m starting to feel slightly better and I don’t know if it’s the aps or whatever but it’s been about 3-4 weeks would this be the ap? Just trying to get my head around what’s going on.

It took a few months for me but everybody’s different. Plus I was on abilify which seems to take a while to do it’s stuff.

I think it took about a month for everything to be normal for me again…I spent months in the hospital with little improvement on a lower dose tho.

AP’s work immediately on me. Within 45 minutes. I’m a rapid responder though. Abilify never did work for me.

The antipsychotic cured my symptoms right away and it took only some weeks to feel healthy again.

I guess it depends on the person. Don’t give up, you will surely notice a good improvement one day. :slightly_smiling_face:

It took half an hour after taking the pill. I was like feeling that my body was liquid and matter at the same time spreading away from me and i didnt sleep for two nights. Took 10mg of zyprexa. Sleeping like a baby half an hour later. Totally sane in the morning.

Thanks for your input guys I think this ap is having a positive effect on me as long as the police don’t lace it to make me kill or hurt someone or activate it. It is something I’m quite concerned about to be honest especially when I took 20mg on top of the injection and the next day I felt violent. So I dunno
