Yesterday at IOP I was stuck in the shitty awful group with the miserable bitter people. And even though they were their usual miserable and bitter selves, who will do anything to make you feel miserable about yourself. After all misery loves company. There’s nothing I do that should make them not like me. And some of them do. But there was this one woman in particular who just wants to mope around and play victim and make you feel shitty about yourself. But you know what?? Doesn’t matter. Because I went home and hung out with my friend who is a real friend. Then I text my other friend who is a real friend. So you know what??? 2 real friends who love me>>>>>1 random person who is miserable at their own self…any day!! I’ve realized. In the past I used to dwell on the negative over the positive. But thanks to work with my therapist I now hold greater value to the positive than negative. Thanks

Life is better when you stick with a few people to like, it’s less complicated that way.
This is a hard one for me. Once I tasted the feeling of finally being liked and discovered I can get along with people I got spoiled and I want to like everyone and i want everybody to like me. It’s never going to happen. Hell, the Beatles were the most likable, charming, popular and successful people on the planet in their day but millions of people didn’t care for them and didn’t like them. But, it is a relief actually that certain people at work don’t like me. And I don’t like them.
Think of all the money I’ll save on buying Christmas gifts and sending out greeting cards.
I’m noticing that I like some people some of the time. I dearly love my provider but when she gets upset, she really voices it and I do get tired of hearing her vent. But that’s just people.
