All i do is sleep. I’m only on five mg. Is that normal? Should i ask to up the dose? Am barely alive here .
I was told it was supposed to make me a bit more active. All i have is restless legs, i sleep like 16 or 17 hours a day now
@Catch22 talk to your doctor about it… That’s the best thing to do

@Catch22 call and ask to talk to the nurse they’ll tell the doctor and the doctor will tell you what they want you to do

I felt sedated when I started it too. The sedation wore off eventually.

How long did it take?
A few weeks. Don’t give up on it till you’ve been on 10mg for a while.

Abilify was so activating for me. I couldnt sleep and i took it in the morning.
It also gave me white lines when i closed my eyes. So had to keep them open during the nights and couldnt sleep.

Were you on a higher dose? I was really hoping it’d make me more energetic but its total opposite for me
Abilify made me super restless for about a month or so. Was recommended Benadryl and prescribed Propanolol by my pdoc to help with the restlessness and anxiety. Benadryl might not have an effect on you since you’re already sleeping a lot, but if you get super anxious it actually helps.

My body is restless but my brain is sleepy hahaha. Its a weird feeling. Like tense all over. I have klonopin for super bad anxiety so I’m not too worried. Benadryl helps with anxiety? I didn’t know that

I know what you mean! I couldn’t sit down for more than 5 minutes at a time and I was racking up the steps on my Fitbit from moving around all the time while my brain just wanted to lay there… Not a great feeling.
Glad you have meds just in case of anxiety- found out about benadryl through a pharmacist actually. This was when I needed something after a welbutrin ordeal where I was close to going to the hospital after taking it. It sedated and helped me sleep through a nightmarish situation for a few days and during that time I noticed my legs weren’t trying to take over my body lol. Has some long-term side effects though so not a total cure-all.
