Hi has anybody here tried abilify and xeplion together? I’m taking both to combat my lack of sex drive. I have read that adding ability to xeplion lowers prolactin. Does anyone here have experience With this two meds?
I wouldn’t touch xeplion ever
I have no choice but to take it and I works good for me no insanity. But the police come to my house if I dont take it.

I think you have to lower Xeplion too for more sex drive.

I was violent so it’s going to be like this for a for a while.

How much Abilify will he add? If its 10mg or more it acts as antipsychotic which makes it possible to lower Xeplion. When my Dr prescribed 1mg Rexulti he lowered my Risperdal by 1mg.
He has addet 5mg abilify on top of my 100mg monthly injection. But he said it will take 2 vecks to see if it has any effect. I have taken it for 3-4 days but I can already fell that my personality and a little bit of my sex drive is back.

Xeplion is a bloody great drug for me. That stuff saved my damn life and my sanity. It saved my appalling relationship with my mother as well.

Yep!! I would have been on a roundabout of hospital and prison terms if it wasnt for that stuff. I wouldnt be able to hold down a tenancy either lol.

@sonXI I know what you mean.
But i got lucky first time with it. I was on other jabs at 16 (old drugs like flupentixol decanoate - for "paranoid psychosis) - but the side effects were heavy. And i went without for years, when they went the psychological route with a diagnosis of EUPD, and cut off all AP’s for years.
Xeplion + Quetiapine is just a drug combination that suits me personally.

Is funny Seth I am the opposite lol! Respiridone and xeplion gave me the worst side effects but flupentixol was my saviour- literally saved my life

Haha. Im glad it works for you. I was on it when i was just 16 of course - so maybe my young body could not tolerate it lol.
I had the “shuffle” on it - and mum would tell me off, cos i had to stick my arms out with my fingers pinched when i walked down the road lol. It really pissed with my motor skills lol.

Yep I have heard of the ‘shuffle’ before. In fact I had it on respiridone. Is wild how different meds effect different people

Risperidone worked best for me so far. No side effects. I tried 5 antipsychotics.

Yeah lol. When they weaned me on the risperadone first, in slowly increasing doses - in preperation for the Xeplion depot - i did end up in bed tho for 3 days , and i remember my muscles bloody ached lol. Decent tolerance now of course.
