I get to spend a week with my family in another city. they live about a hour away.my partner still doesn’t want me to go. she is convinced they will try to get me to stay. I have no plan to stay with my parents away from my partner any longer than a week.
my parents don’t have air conditioning, so I have to prepare to be hot when i’m there. we are going to a tincaps game Friday night and then a picnic sunday if it doesn’t rain.

Why doesn’t your partner go with you if she is worried?
she can’t go because she works during the week. that and someone has to take care of our bearded dragon.

I hope you have a wonderful time! You deserve it! It’s a shame your partner can’t go with you. You both could use a break from her family. (IMO) I think your partner should understand what is healthy, fulfilling and happy for you. You need that
