It’s still in alpha but it is very playable and very smooth. My laptop isn’t powerful at all and it’s handling it.
It does support multiplayer, but I’m assuming getting netplay going is going to be a trick unless we set up a hamachi group.
It really seems to ride the line of balance as a hybrid between Age of Empires and Empire Earth. It’s my chosen nerdy advent of the weekend. If anyone wants to struggle through the difficulties of getting netplay going I’d be happy to try and connect! The game is beautiful with a lot of room to grow and it’s absolutely free!
I’m really impressed with it. Apparently it does do direct connection via IP over the internet though the host might need to configure the router to designate which IP address get the info forwarded to it.
yea it does look good… I play classics now. I try to use my memory (whatever I have) to play the game now instead of fast pace games like StarCraft (use to play competetivly). Right now I’m about to beat Front mission 3, but there are 2 story lines to it…im gonna try the other one soon.
