If a person follows you do you then automatically follow them?

No, I dont. I just follow a few accounts. Others I add to different lists.

No, I do not. If someone follows me, I always check their feed to see if it is someone I actually am interested in. If what I see is not something/someone I am interested in, I remove or block them from following me. I am only there to receive news than interests me. I am not into gaining a large number of followers.
I have a solid,not very large, core of people I regularly interact with. Every now and then someone close to that solid core of people will decide to follow me’ Well that’s how it was, but a few weeks back I got attached to one of these-
not by choice ,I hasten to add. Now I’ve seen a sharp increase of people, with no connection to that core of people I regularly interact with, deciding to follow me. Then I feel guilty if I don’t follow back. Ideally I’d like to not have those on my timeline, as apart from everything else it visually overwhelms me when there are several that are visible to me.
I am not intelligent with computers and other things, i don’t know why i got discharged, maybe because i am not intelligent.
Just go through the tge people you follow and unfollow those you don’t want to see. They won’t care unless they’re weird social media addicts.
