I was trying to pick up this girl, then a classmate steps in and whispers in my ear “you know, she looks just like your ex”. I stood there in dismay, realizing I hadn’t gotten over my ex, but was looking for a replacement.

You read my mind. I beat myself up every day for doing this in my real life though. I think now the real guy liked me and could have been mine. Probably not but you never know. I kick myself daily about this same thing.

The one I love is unattainable. I used to imagine loving her but quit when my ED knocked out my ability to have a fantasy. It’s OK. It’s sorta of like being free of a lot of the reasons she was unattainable and I now have an excuse for not doing it.
