I think that most people on here are truly afraid of good poetry.
Great poem, @anon39054230 I feel that way, too. If it weren’t for the physical decline, I’d say old age is the greatest time of life. Lot’s of time for understanding.

An interesting poem,
a life is like a chess match,
in the beginning you have hundreds of options how one’s life would go,
but as older you get the number of options are reduced
and hopefully in the end you are the last piece standing.
I liked your poem.
