A poem: Energy

It takes so much energy
To keep a dream alive,
Only to be continually disappointed,
That you’d have to be crazy to have them.

Poem could be the opposite too.

There’s nothing wrong with acting on a dream that’s realistic. It appears unfortunately that a realistic dream for a schizophrenic in America is a very lowly one.

A low dream for low-functioning people. That sounds pretty well. Have a look to arabic astrology where mad guys are scored 1 on a 1 to 10 social scale.

Same in Europe. But realistic dreams aren’t dreams, they’re kind of goals. Or are they? Maybe you’re right.

In any case, I’ve kind of decided to give them up.
Not some achievable goals, just some dreams I had. It hurts to let go of dreams.

To be fair to the medical community and the social system I must admit we have challenging disorders and you can only do so much with something that @#$%S up the brain. I just feel that a greater effort should be made to search for a cure rather than new drugs we take forever, and that our aspirations don’t need to be completely ignored like they often obviously are.
