A Poem: Days

There were no antipsychotics
Back in those days,
I’m glad I wasn’t born 50
Years ago. Oh no, wait, I’m 52.

I see this poem as having a less than obvious meaning. You couldn’t be possibly be lamenting the year you were born because 52 years ago was a different time. Perhaps at the end of the poem you are going damn I’m 52 and maybe the fact that in all that time all we have are pills and not a real cure is kind of depressing. (or maybe it’s something else about your life.)

No, I think I was just trying to be funny, but failed :sob:

Sorry. Sometimes I overanalyze.
