I made this painting for this girl, who makes videos to youtube and she is very popular.
I wanted to draw a picture and it somehow came out as a portrait of her and her cat… as Alice and Cheshire Cat.
Would you be angry or happy if you got a portrait like this of yourself, from someone you don’t know?

She is very popular and gets “fan art” a lot.

Oh thank you! It’s just because I’m so lazy. I have no patience to color pictures with color pencils for example, watercolor is fast and easy, and my favorite technique. My watercolors are a good brand and so pigmented and beautiful it makes my work easier, than dealing with low quality materials. Also good brushes and paper is a key factor too.
Yes I totally agree with you. My watercolours aren’t the cheapest either. Cheap ones are just a waste of money.
But really, you do have some nice watercolour techniques
Thank you so much! I used to work with crappy materials, cos I couldn’t afford better ones. Working with them was hard and frustrating. Now I’ve invested in quality materials and working with them is so nice. My watercolors are expensive but so pigmented, that they last a longer time and don’t need to be replaced often. Schmincke brand. I love that you can buy separate pans and the colors you want and need.
Yea, I used to get an artist brand too.
Now I’ve resorted to student grade, which is still OK.
