I have that its enriched my life man. He works Saturday and sundays, and Monday nights. But we went for hikes every weekday morning and hang out during the afternoon and often at nights. I can trust him for whatever whenever. Most valuable asset of my life I have added in 2017 was making such a great friend. I will always remember him now weve had such a good relationship.
My friend is gay but very respectful than I’m straight, I feel gay dudes make good friends if theyre not intrusive at all. Maybe u can try to find a gay friend 
just a suggestion though.

I’ve never really had any good friends. I only have one right now but she only cares about me when she needs something. I really need to branch out more but idk where I’d even start.

I’ve never done what I’m about to suggest, but I’ve heard that if you want to make quick connections with people, or are new in town, either go to a biker bar or a gay club. The gay club portion of that amused me, but it turns out most people going there aren’t looking to hook up, but are looking for companionship primarily, you can make good friends there even if you’re straight. Biker bar is another option with good people, but beware of the alpha-beta dynamic, and that you will probably have to bow your head a lot.
What happened to her?
I had a female friend who I hung out with all the time for a few months a few years ago. I had feelings for her, though, for part of that time. We had drunken sex a couple times during that period, as well, so I guess a little different dynamic than with you and your female friend.
She moved back to Sweden, no all my friends are online virtual friends.
