I also find it unfortunate that there’s not such a thing as social prescribing for the mentally unwell, once they leave a section in the hospital.

We were discussing this in my group yesterday.

Another member felt like me, frightened and alone when being released from hospital. The world looks so scary after a first relapse. And coming out of the section.

dramatic Cuts in funding for over a decade now, our mental health services are less than basic now

Yes it is heartbreaking how much suffering by mentally ill and our families or those families that are bereaved. Some of it is more preventable with the right care in place. If only

Yea, I think it’s a budgeting issue with the NHS.

It’s pretty sucky.

Our country sends billions ££££ abroad but can’t even look after its most vulnerable

How horrible. I used to know someone living in Norfolk. :frowning:

Canada sends out billions too, but we’ve got cities with tent encampments. There are two streets nearby my area, with a beggar at almost every intersection.

I read a bit of good news though: There’s a group in the UK called The Proper Blokes Club (for men’s mental health). They get together in small groups for walking. Many of them are doing better, and getting invited to weddings and other stuff.
