It’s been 5 days at the 3.5mg dose of risperidone and I’m still irritable, maybe worse than on the first or second day.
Maybe it’s not withdrawals, could be that I’m symptomatic?
Ugh … so hard to tell.

I get confused between withdrawal symptoms and my sza symptoms - last week when I lowered my amisulpride from 200mg to 100mg, after three days of 100mg I experienced a psychotic episode where Alien was trying to take me over and wanted to try use me to kill my husband.
Now was this episode a result of withdrawal or my sza relapse? I dunno…
So yes it is hard to tell. Did you ask your pdoc about it?
Hope your irritable mood eases up!
I’m sorry you’re still struggling with irritability. I hope it passes in the next couple days. Have you had any extra energy at all?
Keep a close eye on things.
When I lowered my dose I became briefly psychotic but when I adjusted to the lower dose it went away
Are you still irritable?
I woke up today and felt physically drained.
Don’t know if I’ve regained some energy on 3.5mg Risperdal.
All I’m doing is laying on the couch.
In my opinion 0.5mg is not much to notice a difference.
Yeah I’m going down to 3mg in a couple of days.
I’ll see how I do.
Are you switching meds?
If lowering Risperdal doesn’t work, you should try Latuda, I had more energy on it than Risperdal. I was taking 80mg but I had akathisia, maybe you won’t get akathisia.
Hope you have a better day today ((hugs))
Thanks @FatMama
@Aziz I may try either Latuda (one of her favorites) or Rexulti.
I have zero energy today but maybe because I’m feeling depressed.
That’s even better for me, its a partial dopamine agonist. Maybe for you too.
