Just had a brief moment of anxiety. Hope it doesnt come back.
I slept okay last night but im worried that tonight will be worse. Olanzapine withdrawal can cause insomnia.
If my anxiety gets worse and I get no sleep tonight, i will give in and take it. I will also head to the pharmacy ASAP and pay for the new script of Olanzapine and Cipralex. Even though its expensive af.
@LilyoftheValley - 3 reasons, first, its going to cost me over 200 dollars to get my new script, too expensive for my liking. Second, I want to lose weight. Third, I want to increase my libido.
Well there’s other meds that may not cause those side effects don’t give up. And you should be tapered off one med before starting another sudden withdrawal can cause a relapse.
I just want to make it clear to everyone that if my symptoms get really bad, i will go back to taking my meds (I have some left over here) and will pay for my new prescription… but who knows, I might be fine and lose weight and increase my libido.
2 days is not long enough for withdrawal to start,
i didnt get it till like 2-3 weeks after stopping, the first 2 weeks i just felt anxious like i was losing it a bit, then when the real withdrawal started it was terrible physically and mentally, like a migraine and stomach pain and almost flu like feeling that lasted a week with no break.
i cant live without olanzapine anymore i don’t think, not even just because of withdrawal or symptoms coming back but just because each stop and restart makes life worse even when restabilized and my sleep on olz is so good but terrible on every other med, sleep is something i value alot.
Olanzapine made me sleep a lot, which sometimes doesn’t seem bad to me. But still, life is awfully grey on Olanzapine. I was always mildly depressed on that drug.
I have decided to take my Olanzapine and Cipralex. I’m having bad anxiety right now and I cant sleep. I will also pay for my new prescription for both even though its going to be expensive. Also I shouldnt quit them without my doctors guidance, so this was a disaster from the start. Just took them, hopefully I can sleep now. Its 4:17 AM here. @LilyoftheValley@Aziz@everhopeful@cigarino@katwomansz
If you have been taking olanzapine for a long time you will quite possible need a sleep med to replace zyprexa. Zyprexa is categorized as a thienobenzodiazepine, so you would probably need some other benzo to take it’s place.
try goodrx, there should always be a cheaper way to get meds. olanzapine is super cheap for me my insurance covers it fully but if i were to pay cash id just transfer it to walmart pharmacy and only pay $9 for 30, 15 mg tablets
