It is 4 weeks today that I stopped drinking alcohol, it was quite easy considering that I was drinking all day every day, I don’t think it would have been possible without the Fluvoxamine, as it took the place of the alcohol and allowed me to feel relaxed and be able to sleep at night.

Yeah good work. I am in the process of cutting down. For me that means trying to replace the alcohol with something positive like exercise. Not an easy thing to do!

nice work giving up the booze it’s not easy to do. i stopped on a monday too and it’s been 5 weeks ‘on the wagon.’ i can’t say i don’t miss it - maybe i always will - but i don’t regret the decision.

I had my last beer on july 2nd and I don’t miss it. I’ve been trying to quit the dreaded booze for quite some time now. The Zoloft+naltrexone combo really helps me quit. Naltrexone alone only helped me cut down. But then adding Zoloft to the mix I have no cravings for alcohol at all. I hope I never drink again.

I don’t miss the effect of the alcohol anymore, but I am going to continue taking antidepressants continuously for the next 3 months just so I don’t get any cravings.
I need to find something to past the time now I am not drinking, at the moment I am just watching tv and on the internet, I really need to find a hobby or study a new subject.

I know it’s not exactly a novel idea to watching TV but have you seen the show Black Mirror. It could be an hour out of every night for the next 2 weeks it is so intriguing and good! I know you are british and it is british. Although I am American and love it.
That is if you have netflix
I live in the UK but I don’t have Netflix or Sky, I only have freeview and unlimited internet.
