So people shouldn’t use cousin matching, ethnicity estimating, sites because of the behaviour of antisocial, sleazy, slime-balls?

Depends on if you want your data secure or not. I’m an expert on cyber risks. I would never give away this info as I know for certain it will be exploited at some point. How you manage your risk is up to you.

Can anyone tell us what their experience with VPNs is?

I’ve been thinking about getting one but although it’s cheap you have to buy 3 years

I’ve paid for them. They do the job, depends on which one you get but the ones i used were pretty cheap and worked fine.
