I am living with my butterflies and moths. I have over 500 butterflies and moths. This was an interesting article. My butterflies and moths are 40 years old.
In this article they write that butterflies are disappearing. I agree. When I was in my teens I collected caterpillars and then grew these to butterflies and moths, but now in 20 years I have not seen any caterpillars in the places where they used to be located. Maybe climate change is affecting negatively.
In the article they write that it is possible to complete DNA and genetic analysis how these butterflies have changed in these 160 years. I had similar thoughts with my butterflies and moths many years ago. There is a lot to be learned about butterfly and moth wings. There can be some nanotech applications. When I was in my teens I used to study wings with my microscope.
Here are some butterflies and moths I have in my collection. The time has passed so fast, I posted this message in Feb 2018, five years ago.
