When you change your avatar, you confuse me. I rely on your picture as much as I rely on your name to identify you. @Pikasaur, I know you as a pikachu. Thank you for staying a pikachu. @Ninjastar you are a throwing star, and I see that and know it’s you. There are many others. When you change your avatar, it takes me a lot of time to adjust. Anyone else have this issue?

It throws me off but then I changed my own. I felt weird suddenly having my face on the forum so I put my kitten up.
Hahaha yes I do it’s worse when someone changes name AND avatar and I’m like who are you??
The name change was overdue in my case (look in META if you haven’t figured it out yet).
for decades all I was was a “J” on my avatar but ninjastar helped me change my avatar to a pic of me and angie…

Well I’m still pretty new here so I rely on people’s avatars quite a bit. I think I’d be a bit lost if everyone suddenly changed them.
I agree with you @Happy_H it can be confusing. But peeps gots to do what peeps gots to do.
I’ve had two avatars and two names, so far.
My original name included my real first name; I got paranoid and asked a mod to change it to freakonaleash.
My old avatar was a pic of the tattoo on the back of my right shoulder, with comedy and tragedy masks and some ribbons and stuff. I changed to the psi tattoo pic (back of left shoulder) quite a while ago.
No plans to change it anytime soon, since it’s how people on here recognize me.
I remember the absolute controversy last year when @Rhubot briefly changer her pic to Ruth Bader Ginsberg. There were riots in the lounge.
