Does anyone get tingling sensations of things crawling around inside your head, burrowing, burrowing? I want to pull them all out, but that would make a mess. Sometimes I feel them in the rest of my body, but not anywhere near as often. I was doing Tai Chi once, and a huge one ran all the way down my arm. It felt horrifying.
I remember telling my psychiatrist that I felt I had a “spiritual” worm about the size of a thumb inside my head but it was gone now.
They said I had a “psychotic event”.
I wonder if mine will leave me? It kind of feels like I’m not alone in my body.
You probably don’t have worms.
I had this delusion, for a little while. Then, I overcame it.
How would you get worms in your brain, anyway? When would you reasonably have had a chance of being exposed to them?
I felt I had bugs chewing at the base of my spine.
When I was in my first psychosis I thought food and drink was poisoned and it was slowly eating away at my brain.
Oh noo, worms, ah, ah.
For people who have issues with worms, there is a movie, a FICTION MOVIE I REPEAT IT IS NOT A REAL DOCUMENTARY called “Noroi: The Curse”. It’s a Japanese movie with subtitles that is done in a (false) documentary style, researching strange goings on regarding ancient Japanese ritual culture. Featured is a man who is described as a “psychic” who goes on about, among other things, “psychoplasmic worms”. He appears highly agitated an is seen as wearing tinfoil clothing, presumably to keep the worms away. This is a VERY hard movie to find, I just happen to love Japanese movies. If you do find it, CAREFULLY CONSIDER if this is something that would be right for you. IT IS FICTIONAL, but none the less strange and a bit disturbing.
Never thought of that before. Worms in your brain lol.
The brain is a pretty well protected organ. You won’t get worms and I’ve never heard that but you can pick up things like 3rd stage Syphilis which can affect you but it’s not worms…
Could be tactile hallucinations though…that isn’t uncommon it seems.
I have strange sensations in my brain too
Thanks for all the replies, everyone.
I get frequent pin prick sensations too. Wish they’d take a hike.
I guess the only worms you could get in your brain are parasites, but I prefer not to think about it.
They’re just electrical symptoms, or hallucinations, but they feel a lot like something, or several somethings, crawling around…
