I saw him play. It was an old-timers game in 1983 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. One of the greatest baseball players ever; he was a legend for sure.

I saw him play once in 1966 at Candlestick park. The SF giants had some quality players then. Mays,Marichal,Mcovey(sp?),Perry. I think he was a little past his prime then, but still a lot better than most other baseball players.
