Why the Right Mental Health Diagnosis Is Lifesaving

I’ve had 4 different diagnoses suggested, but they are related disorders and share some of the same symptom, the majority opinion has been schizophrenia so I just go with that.

They called my sz symptoms stress so they didn’t put me on meds and diagnosed me with psychosis until my 2nd suicide attempt.

Maybe it was better if I have died during those suicide attempts.

Yes! This is why I’m so defensive of my diagnosis. Any time it’s been changed, I’ve ended up with the wrong treatment and found myself back in the hospital

Fair enough, I suppose. But like. Death is forever. Y’all don’t come back from that.

First Pdoc wanted me to be bi-polar, she only wanted to treat my mood, couldn’t seem to comprehend that I was still having hallucinations when I was neutral mood.

It wasn’t until I got a second and third opinion, and left her, did my treatment get better. My new Pdoc has greatly helped by treating me as SZA-depressive, and by treating me medication wise and social therapy wise.

Good find E.H.!

Even if the doctor’s view is irrelevant to the diagnosis or naming the condition you coexist with and suffer from
Do not blame the Dr, or make accusations against him !

-the difference /contradiction of the doctor’s point of view regarding the essential reality of what you suffer from is a something very expected and will be remain in a chronic state for beyond what you think or imagine !

Sooner or later, you will reach a level of self- confidence that the name of the condition chosen by the Dr. or used treatment will not achieve complete recovery (existential disposal of the condition root ),no matter if the condition be treated as a genetic disease or mental illness OR a different condition that unknown to the scientists

All of this is due to a basic fact, which is that the information available to the current Dr, about the condition using scientific methods or writing the stories are very simply (and mostly misleading) make the maximum degree of success that the Dr, reaches is to diagnosis the symptoms of the condition if they occur and prescribe an experimental treatment -which usually succeeds in fulfilling the life of the citizen from certain death if the citizen regularly took it for at least a month And sleeps everyday during this month !

So, if the Dr. do not listen to the citizen with the condition and understand the essential nature of the condition that he coexist with
Do not think or dream one day that the Dr. will know all the minute details related to the existentialism characteristics of the condition or its functional effect on the mental processes- if he depend on the scientific methods only !
