Why for Autism and not Sz

Professionals seem to have a capacity or an understanding of Autism and how to communicate with people on the spectrum.

Why is this not the case for SZ too?

I think we need more representation in public for awareness

In my experience here people have the capacity to dealing with sz but not autism. My partner has aspergers and they did jack ■■■■ for him. Me on the other hand they have been helping.

Where I am not even professionals will use the SZ term unless they absolutely have to.

I just deal with someone who adapted to my autism diagnosis but in a way different to SZ

More understanding of difficulty

In the UK beyond a post dx appointment, where you may be given some material to look at, there is little ongoing support for adults on the spectrum, via the NHS.

I am disappointed but it’s a bit of a reality check.

Hopefully if the people I deal with understand better we may not have as many problems.

I am going back to study and the Autism diagnosis compensation seems to show a disparity to Schizophrenia
