Who scratched me?

I wake up frequently with bloody fingernails from scratching my self in my sleep. I don’t know what’s up with that. What do you think?

You’re itchy?

Allergies? Dry skin? Mosquito bites?

@twinklestars not dry, not mosquitos could be allergies I guess. But I would be scratching all the time. This is a lifetime occurrence, not new. I was just trying to find topics, kinda gross I guess

I dunno, I have had the same though, it was acne. But then I got old, lol.

maybe try to massage your body with very cold rosewater.

Maybe consider wearing lightweight cotton gloves when you sleep so less damage is done when you scratch. Also, keep your finger nails cut short.

where would I get rosewater? Amazon? Me and my husband were just talking about it being allergies. I have a bad allergy problem, seems I’m allergic to everything. So I’m gonna think about that for awhile.

I get the gloves off

nails are short

any grocery store you should find. It is called rose water (in a glass bottle usually. You refrigerate it, try a bit on your hand first and see if you have any reaction. If not it is the most soothing

I’m 50 and I still get acne, I think that is so wrong!

ps I like your allergy idea, I’m gonna think about that

To bad they don’t make pajama tops with built in gloves/mittens like they make pajama bottoms with built in footsies.

Oh wait, they do make them, but only for kids. Maybe you could adapt a long sleeved cotton pajama top by sewing on cotton mittens?

Allergies to dust used to make me scratch myself during sleep. It could be allergies.

oh it did? ok so we’re definitely on to something. What did you do for it?

I’d feel itchy. I was allergic to dust, bed mites, pollen, cats and dogs hah.

How did you get better?

You could get allergy testing done to see what you’re allergic to.

I took allergy shots every other week during my teenage years.

well, I’m glad maybe it isn’t a hallucination I’m scratching, which is what I feared.

@anon40653964 Did allergy shots help with your itchy skin? I got allergy shots too but they helped more for itchy eyes, itchy/sore throat symptoms but not really for my dry itchy skin. :anguished:

I didn’t get testing done because they don’t have that here. I live in the country and can’t get to the city
