I didnāt know there was an art to eating artichoke Iāve only ever eaten them from a jar in oil which is pretty oily
all you need to prepare and steam artichokes is a strainer that fits in the bottom of your kettle and put two cups of water below the strainer and boilā¦the steam will cook the artichokes within twenty minsā¦little tipā¦take trimming scissors and cut the thorns off each leaf of the artichoke before boilingā¦once cooked, dip each leaf in lemon butter.

Can one not just pop them into boiling water thenā¦I guess they lose some of their flavour
no boiling them wonāt workā¦you need steamā¦you could put a saucer on the bottom of the pan and cover that in waterā¦that way it wonāt hurt the artichokesā¦when it boils.
