Please define scary. Do you mean movies that make you jump or psychological horror or movies that disturb you or ???

Funny Games,

The original,

Is the scariest movie I’ve ever seen.

Because the violence is so realistic and casual.

It really makes you feel you could be next.

(the most disturbing movie I’ve ever seen is probably Audition)

The ending of Funny Games where the film gets rewinded is so twisted.

I think Hereditary is the scariest horror movie I’ve seen from the modern age. It nearly scarred me for life.

We are currently watching the child’s play series. Love chucky. Bride of chucky was so funny. My favorite scary movie is gremlins though.

Big big fan of “found footage” anything resembling I guess, like, Blair witch project, Paranormal activity, Grave encounters, Unfriended dark web, VHS Series. Man I could go on forever!

The Purge movies, are also a very scary concept, would not want to live in that world! :hushed:

Insidious sound effects give me the chills, the strings mostly, or that “tiptoe through the garden” song.

Have you seen Troll Hunter?

It’s a foreign “found footage” film that’s pretty good.

I watched a movie with Jake gyllenghall called the prisoner two days ago. I don’t usually watch anything on the verge of scary or disturbing. But I did watch this my brother tricked me.

Have to say though

I really enjoyed it

I love Grave Encounters also. When it comes to freaky soundtracks, I would recommend you watch Sinister. Very scary but worth a good scare.
