Ask me that again in fifteen years.
I bought a house in California in 2004 before the real estate bubble in the US popped and it put me deep in debt. Got way upside down. Sold it in a short sale 3 years ago. I thought I was going to be able to flip it and pocket $200,000 or more. But eventually the market did bounce back. If I still owned it today I could probably break even.
I still own one house in Texas I rent out. I pocket about $500 a month of the rent because I don’t have to pay property taxes on it for being a 100% disabled veteran. Right now I have about $70,000 in equity but Texas doesn’t allow you to take out 2nd mortgages on your home. When I have more than $100,000 in equity I am probably going to sell.
Real estate can burn you too.
I am buying another house next month but right now interest rates are pretty high. I don’t have the best credit due to the short sale and some other blemishes I took when I got sick. The house I own in Texas I only pay 2% but the house I am buying next month will cost me 5.5%.
How you get so much benefit?
I live in Hungary if i want to retire myself coz of my problems, i would get max 350 euros per month. Its nothing. How it works in other countries ?
It all depends on how rich we are talking about now. But if I had unlimited funds I would buy myself
an Island, private jet, decommissioned titan missile silo. I would have a fleet of cars and I would buy every street I drive on so that there was no traffic. I would of course also buy a house pay for my kids schooling. I would also buy an ice cream truck and remodel my missile silo so I could live in it. I suppose that I would eventually get tired of all of my self indulgence and then start doing some good. I would cure Schizophrenia and cancer. Oh I would also buy a yacht. I would bring back the dodo bird just so that I could hunt it until extinction (just kidding). I would also have my island declared its own sovereign nation. Also I would probably have more kids and also hire a full time nanny. I would also buy a quantum computer and use it to play tetris.
Oh, believe me, I know. That’s why we rent rather than flip. We’re mostly doing okay. Hate it when we get alkie or druggie tenants – they’re the worst.
Haha. I would mine bitcoins.
I would relax a little bit. I would buy a condo and pay for Uber to take me everywhere instead of driving myself. Probably donate a good chunk and put the rest in retirement. I would still want a job and get married. I would be less hesitant about adopting kids because I could afford to give them a better shot at life financially. I would also pay for a maid and set aside money for my parents to retire and be taken care of in a nursing home. I would pay for my the college tuition of my brothers and sisters kids (they don’t have any but plan to). I would also pay for my sister and brothers retirement and maybe even a house for each of them. So a ton of stuff but I don’t see the point in buying excessively expensive crap that nobody needs like expensive cars and houses and jewelry and wasteful stuff.
I would build a house out of strong high quality materials stuff that doesn’t degrade like stone tiles and cement bricks and stuff. I would get a swimming pool outside and inside a stereo system for loud music and parties with lots of food. I would get nice lighting too with different color lights and UV lights all over the place. It would have a cinema too for watching bluerays on fast graphics cards. There would be two guest rooms with five bedrooms total. The tubs would have jets too. There would be air filters and shower head filters and air conditioning for summer with heated floors for winter. There would be a large storage unit seperate of the house to put junk in and the house would stay clean and tidy sanitized regularly. There would be at least four stories with a bathroom on each floor. There would also be wall vacume hookups to make cleaning easier. The pool would have lights in it too. And a hottub with jets outside for the winter too.
If I get rich, I think I would give some of my money to my parents. They worked and supported me a lot for many years.
Get richer, and richer and richer. And dominate the planet like Jeff Bezos
Seems like most of them do that. Reinvest their money to become even richer.
yes they do
I could have all the fun I ever wanted for about 50K, the rest I would save
I’d donate all my money to myself. Charity begins at home.
If I was ever to win lottery, I’d find some nice new flat, buy a new wardrobe of clothes and shoes, eat the best food and water every day, take up classes, buy the best products for my face and body, go on holiday with my family, go on holiday with my group, buy lots of good books, buy some stuff for my parents, go shopping with my bro get him some stuff,… U get the drift.
Having a poor time because everybody want to have my money.
Omg, is this for ■■■■■■■ real. My family has money but are miserable pieces of ■■■■. I’m sorry but money won’t make your broken brain go away. I’d rather sell my house than inherit and of that money with “strings attached”. My two dogs are strays…yet they make me happier than the pain in the ass dog my sis paid 10k for. . I try to be rational about things and accept who I am not live in a fairy tale…money, good looks, and a great job don’t fix a broken brain or solve world hunger or the inhumanity in our society…orlosing weight for that matter since so many people focus on that…just be healthy and focus on doing the best you can each day with what you have and be thankful etc etc
Id spend the money on finding better meds and stronger/powerful but without not much negative side effects for mental illness preferabbly SZ, for example… i sweat a crap load on Clozapine even though it does me wonders. :^D
Change lives. 151515
Sorry money can’t do that in lots of situations
