What were your prodromal sympTom's for psychosis

I think I was in prodromal for a few years in teenage years… had a good year in 2014 then everything went down in 2015.

I got irritable, paranoid, withdrawn, not sleeping and personality changes.

Hown about you?

I’ve had symptoms since I was a really little kid so it’s hard to say…I think middle school was more of a classic prodromal phase because that was right before my psychosis got extreme. I became very isolated, lost the ability to make conversation for a good while (I could suddenly never think of anything to say), my hygiene was terrible, I was depressed and I already had paranoia and delusions but I’ve had those since forever. My personality definitely changed after middle school, I was not the same person, a lot more socially awkward after that.

I couldn’t confirm my psychotic break…i have been suffering from 10 yrs medicated since 3 yrs …!!!

it’s hard to remember now but I think my prodromal phase kicked in when I started highschool (australian highschool, so 12 years old). I was very paranoid, which was seen as “just” anxiety at first; I would have a lot of mini-delusions and irrational thoughts, I felt overloaded very often, felt like I was on the verge of “losing something”… stuff like that. I had the feeling of becoming more and more distant from my friends / people in general / the world, then had my first episode at age 13.

pretty much what you just said.

last happy and successful year for me was when i was 15
from there things get bad in a manner similar to what you already described
anxiety and cognitive impairment were the worst
then around my 17th birthday - full blown psychosis

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Symptoms since 14. Depressive break at 23. Psychotic break at 29. Up till then I did a good job of passing off as normal…If I know what I know now!
