I like a lot of other movies but I think those two are my favorite.
I don’t really watch movies anymore, I just don’t enjoy them, and I usually can’t wait until they are over. I read people with anxiety like watching things they have already seen because they know what will happen, I think there is truth in that because I watch a lot of reruns. I’ve only watched 1 new movie in the last 5 years. Coming 2 America.
Jet Li (李连杰) was supposed to play Li Mubai (李慕白) but he turned down the role which is why Chow Yun Fat (周润发) got the role.
That’s interesting! Jet Li is awesome too.
I used to be a huge movie buff, but I can’t sit through a movie anymore. But I’d probably choose a clockwork orange, if I had to.
“Iron-man” is near and dear to my heart.
Great choice! A Clockwork Orange raised so much controversy in England that the director, Stanley Kubrick, had it pulled from England’s theaters.
@fractaled interesting choice. Clockwork Orange is one of the more interesting movies I’ve seen. Have you ever seen Blue Velvet with Harvey Keitel before? Just another weird kind of movie that left its mark. Then you have the Evil Dead part 2… But I digress LOL
Very few movies keep me glued to the screen. I recently watched 300, and followed all the way through. That’s pretty rare for me. Usually about 10 minutes in, I pick up my guitar and play for 20 minutes then kind of tuning back in. Goes like that all night
Never saw it I’m afraid! I’ll add that to my list, but no promises. I’ve only added to the list for a few years now. If I watch anything, it’s a documentary, and I gotta pause it at least a dozen times, and maybe finish it in a week or forget about it altogether. It sucks, I used to really enjoy movies.
The Godfather I and II
I’m the same with reading. I used to read a book in one day, now I can’t remember what the hell I read by the time I hit the end of the page
Same! Last book I read was A Dance With Dragons by George RR Martin. I know I’ll never finish the series. I don’t even know if they’ve come out yet…
The last book I remember reading was, Electric Gumbo my Joe Lansdale. It’s a collection of short stories. Rather bizarre points of view, a great read
I read a bunch of self-help books after that, but my attention span is about the same as a flea’s. Don’t ask me a single thing I read LOL
The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hot Rod.
Any Eraserhead fans out there?
Well if you’re ever up for it (I know, I know), I also recommend the book A Clockwork Orange. It’s not too long, and the movie didn’t include the last and most important chapter. I really enjoyed it years ago after I saw the movie.
I’m a big fan of The Shawshank Redemption. Also, Moby Dick from the 50s with Gregory Peck.
I didn’t realize the movie was made from a book. Very cool. I’ll ask my buddy if he has it. He’s got a whole collection of weird ■■■■. If not he works at the library and he could dig it up for me
First I have to wrap my head around reading again. It’s been quite a while
No pressure! 15151
Yes,
And I saw this meme the other day and it made me chuckle.
More because someone put the time and effort into an Eraserhead meme, but still:
