What are your group interests?
I go to a music group on Thursdays and sometimes a drumming circle on weekends. And now part of a book reading club.

Painting class has to be uplifting and a good way to go beyond boundaries. I really enjoy art but haven’t done anything like that in a long time.

My crowd of friends are alternative, some mental ill, like myself, i guess you could call us drop outs, loosers, but i care a lot about them and we have a strong bond between us.

It’s nice to have strong bonds and good friends. The labels are just distractions made by people which are uneasy about themselves. You’re all doing great!

I belong to a Unitarian Universalist church where everybody is accepted regardless of belief system, it’s very liberal and social justice minded. Then i belong to Northern Hope Center, a non profit clubhouse for mentally ill people. I’m vice president on the board there. Lastly, I’m a facilitator for a NAMI Connections group, a support group for folks struggling with mental illness. These people have become my second family and a fantastic support system…but it takes a lot of work to maintain these social connections, sometimes it’s exhausting.

Wow that is amazing! Do you feel the satisfaction that comes from volunteering and helping others?
I’ve heard one of the best ways to get out of a spiraling mindset is to help someone else. I used to volunteer and enjoyed it.
Wish there was a Nami around here! It is only family support groups.

I go to Wellness Group and Mind and Body group every week with ACT.

I’m part of a dnd group with my friends.
And I’m thinking of joining an equity, diversion and inclusion committee at work.
That’s really it though.

I’m in some online photography groups. Nobody local operates at my skill level.
Edit: Also part of some groups of online hobbyist broadcasters. Once again, no locals I can hang with who do this. I am the only local doing this.

I go to the archery club I’ve thought of joining my local fish and game club to help stock lakes and plant trees but I currently don’t have a drivers license

I feel ya, these are the things I run into with my true interests. To boot, I live south of the city where nothing goes on. Everything is in the city or north, so I have to travel.

i dont have groups in real life. i only hang with people online. im a loner in real life. spend prob almost all day everyday alone. i dont mind it tho. im used to it.

Have a friend group on Twitch. They stream most nights for 6 hours so always have a place to hangout.
