For me it is probably roses. I remember my mother had a variety of different colored roses.
As for the California Golden Poppy, there is a stretch of road on the highway in which James Dean crashed that during spring just before the fall has Golden Poppy blossoms on either side. It’s somewhat of hillside on either side a bit before heading to the grapevine just before a town called Lost Hills. The thing is it doesn’t blossom like that every year. I remember seeing painters on the road.

Lilies make hallucinogenic tea. I took one before my diagnosis. I just got a very dry mouth and trouble speaking. Not a good experience.

I like a lot of flowers, roses, tulips, cherry blossoms, irises. But winter sweet is my favorite.
