It is one of those nights when I can not sleep. I listen to birds making sounds. I ate some oatmeal. I just can not sleep.
I’m usually up at this hour.
I’m listening to Metallica’s new album. I’m glad I bought a pair of expensive headphones. They were worth it!
Do you listen to any podcasts? I like technology podcast and NPR.
I want sleeping headphones that look like a headband so I can fall asleep on my side.
Drink more coffee…
I take 5mg of melatonin (okayed by my p.doc), darken my room, and listen to music. I repeat the word “sleep” over and over whenever my mind begins to wonder. It usually takes me about 10 min to fall asleep with all of that.
If I can’t sleep after 20 minutes I get up and watch TV for a while. Eventually I’m able to go back to bed and fall asleep.
Sometimes it helps to keep bedside lamp on during night. Feels more soothing and safer.
I do that when I can’t fall asleep but it’s important to wake up later on set time.
No I don’t except for Joe Rogan’s sometimes.
I listened to the English language history podcasts, but I have not done so for some time.
After awhile laying in bed for ages I just say the heck with it and get up, drink loads of coffee and stay up all night and all day until 6pm then go to bed and have a wonderful nights sleep. Its ones of these nights tonight.
I read or watch anime.
Trazadone and visteral
I sit on my phone or have coffee or lay tossing and turning .
I have sleep problems. Lately, I’ve gone to sleep by six in the evening and gotten up by midnight. Then I stay awake all day but doze a minute or two throughout the day. I’ve got serious appointments to get to in the coming weeks, I can’t be awake all night and asleep in the day.
I read; listen to music; get online; check my bank account and budget expenses; write a meal plan, a grocery list, and shop online for what I need; and make up stories in my head.
I keep a checklist on my phone of things to try like using a heating pad, yoga stretches, melatonin, having some fiber to make me poop, breathing, using nasal spray. I also get up for awhile and file papers if i am too tense to lay down.
Most of the time i cant sleep because of either eating too much or arthritis pain. I am getting over a bad cold so that is a challenge too.
If i cant sleep usually i just stay in bed with my eyes closed and tell myself at least im getting rest .sometimes though i get up and have a cup of tea.
