It’s calm.
Lol
I think it means it’s cool

I know they say “dude” a lot
I don’t like this term
I hate it when my brother uses it
He gets it from his young son who is in his early 20s.
My generation, the baby boomer generation used the term “man” when referring to someone
I still use this term from time to time
d0000000000000000d.
You know you love it.
Dude has been around along time. It’s not really anything new. I use both dude and man. I’m a bit younger than you though.
“You have no jam” means your a coward atleast in my time at school
“No jam” can also be a dare to do something usually stupid
What about “Sweet”, is that still a thing?
How about,
You wanna come down my ends?
My nephew found a stick and told me its his BFF. I had no idea what he meant, apparently its best friend forever…
I find it funny when kids use short hand text when writing a paper for school then wonder why they got a failing grade.
Brb! Tmi! Cray cray! Jc!
LOL
Dooooooood, we need to get us some bodacious babes after we get these rad nachos.
Honestly I’m so out of touch with what the kids are up to. Seems forever ago I was young enough to care about slang and phrases. I feel so old.
We speak French here, my friends call money mulla or ozey, in French the proper word is argent. Sometimes we say fresh to mean nice.
In the 80’s “capping” meant putting someone down or in the 70’s it was called “ranking”.
I lost track of new slang around the time “da bomb” and “word” came out.
Don’t get me started, kids use about 100 fake words from tiktok in their language. The only word Millennials added was “cool,” and that was arguably in use by Gen X beforehand. Arguments I suppose could be made for outliers like “bogus” and “radical.” Let me list the few I can think of offhand:
Fire
Bussin
Cap
Cheugy
Not Gonna Lie
Let’s Go
Stan
Thirst
Simp
Bestie
Bae
Drip
Vibe
Ratio
I never thought I’d be the grumpy old man but here we are lol. I absolutely loathe the humor and fake words of today’s kids.
dope
i initially thought this is a bad word like dopey when infact it’s another word for cool
I remember that word, that was in play for my generation too.
It meant cool, but cops always meant drugs when they said it in my day.
It used to be “why you dissin” when I grew up
Now it is has been “why you hating” and still holding strong
