I love this film. Anyone else fans?
I saw it a long time ago, probably close to it’s release. I think it was good for what it was, but not quite my kind of movie.
It’s coming up on it’s 30th anniversary soon I believe.
I just watched the sequel. It sucked.
I saw the sequel too. The only good sequels to any movie that I remember are “Aliens” and “Terminator 2.”
“Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World” was cool too
I like quite a few others sequels, maybe not all are quite as good as the original movie, but still a good effort, like indiana jones, die hard, escape from l.a, the godfather, chronicles of riddick, mad max, rocky, rambo, the matrix, for a few dollars more, fast and furious
Star Wars sequals were good too. The prequels not so much, but their sequels were great
Agree. I’m planning to see those soon. I saw them like 15 years ago, but I forgot how they went. Will be a good watch I expect.
I can’t take Will Smith seriously since the slap, but I used to like it.
I love Independence Day. The president’s speech is one of the best final showdown speeches in cinema.
Somehow he stopped being Will Smith that day.
I watch it every Fourth of July. It’s become a tradition.
So many great things.
Bill Pullman’s speech
Jeff Goldblum is funny and adorable
Brent Spiner as the ill-fated scientist
Harry Connick Jr.
Harvey Fierstein
Judd Hirsch
So much fun to watch.
It was the first movie I saw at the theater.. 1996
