Wasting Led Zeppelin

I got a box set of all their studio albums on CD’s, years ago. My favorite albums of theirs when I was a kid in high school were the early ones, the first few. My friend played the first albums constantly as we got drunk and smoked pot in his room (his mom left us alone, it was kind of weird).

Later when I was 18 or 19 I started playing some of the later albums but I was so used to the early, raw music of the first few that the later albums sounded like pop music to me and not very good. So years later I only played them occasionally. But just a month ago I put on Houses of the Holy and I realized, “Man, those are some good songs! All of them.” So I played Coda, Presence, and Physical Graffiti. Excellent! Great music. Now I am going to be playing all their music. I get to re-discover some great music!

Don’t mind a bit of Led Zep. When I moved overseas in the noughties my little brother borrowed heavily from my vinyl and cd collection which was a lot of the 70’s stuff. Too much hassle getting it all back so for years have just been doing digital. I’ve a lot of current stuff and plenty of cherry picked songs but I wish I’d be able to translate all that back catalogue over to digital…

Your right . There was some mighty fine works out there worth a listen!
