Unable to get angry

Since I’ve been sick (and medicated), I’ve noticed I never get angry. This is even with my partner who I used to get angry with sporadically. I’m not saying being angry is great, but it would feel more normal to have an occasional temper when something particularly annoying happens.

Do you find you have a temper or has it been eviscerated by this illness?

I’m in a constant state of being annoyed. But that’s because I’m 51 probably. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

But I’m rarely angry too.

I don’t get angry its rare but when I get, I take a minute to enjoy the feeling. Because it very rare. Like once in 2 or 3 months.

I can still panic or feel overwhelmed but I rarely get real angry.
I think my meds play a role in this.

Abilify has really chilled me out.

I used to get annoyed and pissy pretty easily, but since being on meds, my temper has dampened considerably.

I think it’s better this way, for me anyway.

Well its a good thing for me, the only reason I went from 3mg to 6mg Risperdal is because I was angry and irritable all the time.

I’m irritated, like… all the time. I didn’t used to be. Just a few months ago, I’ve become very irritated about everything and everyone around me. It’s kind of tiring.

I hatw this topic

I have too much of a temper still. I have some anger management therapy books that I keep cycling through and doing the exercises in. They help, keep me from flipping my lid directly with people. I can blow off steam later when I’m alone.
