I generally give the “deuce” sign, which is a backhanded peace sign. It just means, to me, like “What’s up?” or could also mean “goodbye”

Its originally an anti-French gesture. When the French captured English archers, they’d cut off their 2 fingers so it stopped them using bow n arrows. So to wave your 2 fingers is a way of saying “Haha fcuk you!”
France and England had centuries of war over the course of history.
