I think it may be rude to assume she’s past. What if she returns? I think we shouldn’t assume right away it only been a month or so right?
I do miss her though

I thought it was @Bowens idea to have a tribute thread on her 80th birthday which was yesterday. I thought this was a good idea too.
Well, if you want to delete the thread Bowens thats fine with me, i know you expressed some doubts about it.
I dont see the problem myself, if not a tribute thread now, then when?

Extremely unlikely. She had cancer, was in hospice, was very old and was bed bound. Plus its unlike her to be away from the forum for so long. Id say theres a 99% chance she has passed away.
I have to respectfully disagree with you saying this post/comments are rude. It would be rude if we were making fun of her. Its the opposite, everyone is sharing their love and respect for her.

There’s also a good chance that she hasn’t passed away but is too sick or incapacitated to log onto the forum
I’ve been thinking through this more and assuming that she passed away right now at this moment might be too premature and a bit inappropriate
It’s only been a month and she might even be lurking and reading the posts but not participating

Another reason she’s most likely passed away… look at this comment from her, one of her last.
Low oxygen, bed bound, cancer, hospice, old… she is no longer on this planet.

Yes, it was yesterday, not today. To be honest, I just lost track of time.
I wouldn’t say “expressed concerns” would be what I did. I just had a passing, thought.
I think the thread is probably alright. Odds are pretty high, that if she had vanished a month and a half while in hospice with cancer, she is either gone or incapacitad to the point that she wont be back.
And if we are wrong, even though it might be a bit freaky, I think she would likely appreciate it if she comes back.
Maybe we should have a poll to see if we should close and hide though. Probably would be ok to make a poll seperate from this thread, so more people can see it.
