Probably the tempo of the music forces the brain to process information quicker in order to keep up with the rhythm thus allowing for data prioritization and efficient processing.

Personally being a classically trained multi-instrumentalist for over 15 years has definitely influenced how I perceive and act in my day to day life also in my professional career.
