It’s just the way it is.
There’s a lot of content down that will be lost though.
Say goodbye to the Brady bunch variety hour
Is “The young and the restless” still running?
I’d love to, but I am certain it will show up on Pluto TV.
Next to Matlock.
I hate soap operas so idk my mom used to watch it everyday now rarely she does there’s too many things going on at once on those shows
I haven’t watched cable in probably 18 years. My elderly neighbor had it. I was never a big cable fan anyways. I liked south park and the daily show. Used to watch the discovery channel with my dad when it was about animals and they had that guy narrating the whole time.
I just watch YouTube and streaming services. Cable companies are alive because they provide internet if you ask me.
I also think the elderly are the only reason cable still exists.
I like tv but not cable, i use sling which is internet streamed tv, live tv nowadays is alot of reruns and old movies but sometimes its easier to pick a channel and not be too invested but end up watching rather than scrolling streaming menu for an hour because i need to find the perfect show to make watching 10+ hour seasons worth it
I think it will be around for a long time still. But I see many tv channels offer streaming as well to reach more people. You never know, traditional tv could come back when the new generation gets older.
There’s so much more available to watch nowadays. The trouble is 95% of it’s utter crap. With a lot of USA produced programmes it’s the religiosity and the fetishism over the military that puts me off it. I’ve lost count of the number of USA produced programmes I’ve aborted watching because of those things. Much of UK produced programmes are also crap.
The UK murder mysteries can be quite good (Vera). Midsomer Murders is so-so. One of my fave UK series of late is The Repair Shop. So well done. UK comedies that don’t have Monty Python or Black Adder somewhere in the name are generally wretched.
I think Monty Python TV series is good but over hyped in my opinion, i enjoyed the movies.
I recommend Father Ted if you’ve not seen it very funny, not UK but Irish.
Repair shop is a good programme
Did you watch the one where they went to the then prince Charles estate in Scotland?
I missed that one. I will have to see if I can find it.
Probably why it’s funny then.
