I let her pick the restaurant and she picked a Korean Barbecue, a nice place. The food was a little, uh, “different”. We had like 8 appetizers and they were seaweed and squid and tofu and other things. My sister enjoyed them and that’s what counted. For the main course my sister got some Korean stew and I got a big bowl of soup. It was filling and that’s all I cared about. It was pretty crowded but I was determined to have a good time and a little acting helped.
My self introspection got way out of hand and this past year I’ve avoided lots of social situations but on the trip home after dinner I noticed I was a lot happier than usual and the drive home was way better then any drive this past year. Now I’m home with my unhappy neighbors in the winter of discontent. I really got to get out of this place. I had a nice time with my sister though.
