it amazes me any of the businesses here on main street are able to stay open, many days they are not open and have limited hours, lots of antique stores is most of it. i think some are only open on the weekends and are closed on holidays too. i always feel guilty going to convenience stores on holidays since the employees have to work, but i went and got a chocolate milk at the gas station today anyhow.
yeah the neighboring town next to us, calls itself the city of spires, with lots of old historic churches downtown. it’s like a european river town or something only here in america.
we have a few churches, one does flu shots and also did covid vaccine here in my new town.
i notice when i used to go to church alot of the people from the countryside would come to church in our little city/neighborhood for some reason.
i think most of them were built in the early 1800’s. like much of the town, it must’ve been really booming back then, now the world has forgotten about us.
