I’ve seen one truly satisfying YouTube video. Maybe one day it will be outstanding but today it’s mediocre. What is your opinion? Maybe it’s my anhedonia. Tonight I’m listening to music. Of course later I’ll be back chasing the wild unicorn. I’ve got to keep trying?

I prefer movies, textbooks, novels, and streaming / television series to YouTube, most of the time.
“Democratization” of media was kind of nice, but they spend hundreds of millions of dollars on some of these movies. You can bet that tremendous time, effort, and research is put into the writing.
I get a lot of value out of Youtube. Tutorials. Product reviews. Music. Comedy. And, of course…

too much content on youtube finding something good is needle in haystack
YouTube is fun. I need to stop watching “hood videos” on it though. 
But YT’s selection of music is insanely awesome. I’ve found bands on there that are so small like the only people who know about them are the ones who saw them at some dive punk club ions ago.

I love the youtube music app. Been subscribed to it for a couple years now. Ive always got music going. Mostly metalcore or emo rock kinda stuff. And also a lot of classical like mozart, bach, vivaldi, chopin and all the greats of the past. Especially while i read books. I think its awesome that i can whip a device out of my pocket at any moment and listen to phenomenal music composed hundreds of years ago. And most of it is real recorded performances done more recently. So its not like perfected with soundboards and all that stuff. Ive basically got an orchestra in my pocket. What an age we live in haha.
