Uh, nothing is portrayed accurately in horror films.
I don’t think that people just stigmatise one or two things, I think they stigmatise as many things as they possibly can. Humans don’t have a great track record of being very human.
Some of the public think we are capable of pick axe murdering, I heard it all before
If you are really living with the sz condition, and you see aspects of difference / contracdiction between the fabricated stories scenarios of social drama films / horror movies and the realities events of the coexistence with sz condition
Why you do not write / express about the nature of sz’s nature as you living with it !
Do it instead of blaming the media ,sitting still or even expressing annoyance from naive movies be written by who is without actual personal experience with sz and do not know anything about
The mental health stigma from movies/media sucks. I’ve literally been asked if i hear voices that want me to kill people.
And not to mention it made me so scared to accept my condition. Cause I thought it made me a bad scary person.
And side note if people ask me if my DID is like “Split” again I’m gonna throw some hands
A magic pill that gives a mentally healthy person a full blown psychotic episode of sz for 90 minutes would give them a real horror show.
People are known to have a malicious side. They would like to hurt as many people as they can.
And almost all of these people are normal.
it’s been that way since Psycho came out in the fifties…it’s appealing to the public to think mentally ill people are violent…
People generally don’t live even small deviations from social norms, so perhaps it’s understandable that something fairly extreme like mental illness gets a bad rep. If social norms aren’t maintained then phenomena like Trump would become even more common. Maybe the thought police are a necessity, but then the question becomes, who polices the police?
I really can’t watch horror films anymore. It’s just not entertaining. Well in all honesty, I can’t really watch films anymore at all. Unless it’s super duper interesting
despite it is hard to answer about the question; what is the life ?
But if you believe that the life is to live it
The same thing, the schizophrenia is to live it ,because the living with the reality has a specific test that is different about the speech that describes the reality with the words
So , in the case ,if you living with sz
Frankly,do you think that the scenarios of the scientific story (biological /psychological ) match the internal events /processes that the oneself feels, hears, perceives and lives with and affected by them intellectually, emotionally and behaviorally ?
Is the core of suffering from the coexistence with sz is due to the symptoms that the Dr. diagnosis, speaks about, and occupy all his concerns , or the suffering is the result of living with the psychotic factor who is called hallucinations (imaginary persons ) ?
Is the contradiction /difference represented only in horror films / social drams movies or do it extend to include what is written in the scientific reports ?
