The longest day of the year

It is 11 pm and here is a photo I just took on my balcony, quite light, but it is also cool.

I just posted this thread 1 minute before you posted this…

Here is a cool pic I found last night of an eclipse of the midnight sun in Sweden in July 2000…not on the solstice but still while the sun was up at midnight in the northern parts of the world…

so you are up north a bit for it to be that light at 11 pm

Neat! Wish it stayed light that late here…the older I get the more light I like.

light late at night is neat, but doesn’t it get very cold in the winter?

the last winter was mild, but it can fall to -25-30 celcius in the winter

Where I lived in Alaska it would get cold in winter, but also have some nice days. There was only daylight from about 9 am till 3 Pm in December… And the sun would only stay about this high for a few hours… this is a noontime shot on December 21, shortest day of the year

The photo in the summer was nice, I suppose all this snow has melted before the next summer. I hope.
