The Continuing Recovery Journal

There has been multiple diagnosis that might affect me. The joints popping out is thought to be a symptom of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I also have joints popping out. Because of the intensity of pain I have, my mom is bringing me to the pain specialist to discuss CRPS.
@CoCo
I’m sorry that your husband is in so much pain. Did they give any meds for his pain?

Yes. He has a pain pump in his back delivering pain meds 24/7. And yet, he’s still in tons of pain :frowning:

Oh no… that sounds terrible. I’ve seen people with CRPS getting pumps as you have described, but I personally don’t have one since I have never been diagnosed with CRPS, nor I have seen my unknown pain specialist. I’ve also heard about ports, but this is not an option for me either.
I hope your husband feels better. Pain is such a terrible thing to have.
For now I’m just using braces and stuff to make myself feel better.

Night of March 19

Pain: 8/10
Fatigue: 10/10

Pain level is better but fighting pretty bad fatigue.
So tired…exhausted.

Thanks. I hope you get relief soon!

Thank you. I hope so too.
My condition is likely to be chronic, but I’m hoping for a recovery. It’s hard to be in pain 24/7.

Night of March 20
Pain: Can’t label it with a number because it’s so high.
Fatigue: Better, 7/10

Hopefully this cup noodle can help me with my pain…

Early morning of March 21
Pain: excruciating
Fatigue: intolerable

My pain is so excruciating.
And I’m getting into a mild psychotic epidode…

Keep strong, @anon10648258, April is just around the corner! What day of the month do you see the pain specialist?

I’m not sure.
My mind is all mixed up because of the voices.
They’re literally everywhere.
Screaming.
They want me to die.
They want me to end the suffering.

But your family knows right? So they can tell you when to go?
I know it’s hard, but you must not listen to these voices
Also, I did a quick google search for pain medication, this came up:

Opioids more powerful than morphine include hydromorphone ( Dilaudid ) and oxymorphone ( Opana ). But the strongest opioid in community use is fentanyl which, in its intravenous form, is 70 to 100 times more potent than morphine .”

Do you recognize any of these meds? Have you tried any of them?

I’m on one of these opioids called oxycodone.
So it’s really strong medication.
But my pain level is so severe that it doesn’t work for me in some instances

Sorry I’m not doing so well right now

It’s ok, don’t worry. I’ll let you rest. But you should really look into fentanyl, cause it’s the strongest pain med.
Hope you feel better soon!

Fentanyl is very strong and people are getting accidental overdoses. It has caused a lot of deaths in our opioid crisis. It seems like you would be qualified, but be careful. I know people that have got off lesser opioids, but there is nothing else that works. Its terrible in America that so many have a habit and are doing crime and street drugs and overdosing. Doctors have been loose with them and now some users are paying for it.
