Sz's without medication?

Everytime I tried, it ended very badly

You aren’t the only one that doesn’t take meds but it’s a lot of hard work to do. if you learn your triggers and warning signs it can help immensely. Learn grounding techniques find out what works for you. For me it took years and years to get to where I am but it’s still a work in progress the important thing is to know you don’t have to go it alone and that it’s ok to need assistance.

I dont take any medicine at all, yes there are difficulties and there are voices and delusions and all sorts of things, but I manage without drugs, I study at college and a good student, a lot of difficulties in leaving the house because then I hear things but I solve it with nusuc un earphons , My doctor supports me, she told me that if I can function well in the important things and do not want medication, then I’m well done

this is what she told you? really?

Yes, that’s what she told me. In principle, she’s already given up on me after three years with one hospitalization. She tried to persuade me to take it, but she sees that I’m clean, healthy, so I do not have a social life. After more than ten years of experience with voices im learning how not to let it affect me, im happy at home, I paint, study, dance, so she supports me

Part of her pressure on me to take medication is not to prescribe medication for sleep and calm, so she hopes I will break and take the serious meds , so sometimes I do not sleep’ but i wont brake!!!

I wish to God that I didn’t have to take medications, but without meds I just wont survive.
I would end up homeless or in jail without meds.

That is why people who don’t take meds have minor symptoms.

What do you mean by “minor symptoms” cause I definitely wouldn’t classify my symptoms as minor??

One thing to note when people say they are ok off meds: Insight can quickly be lost and self judgements as to functioning and mental state can be inaccurate for that reason. Not all who claim to be doing well of meds are actually doing well. It is important to have the input of friends and family members as to how well you are actually doing .

Do you guys think Elyn Saks and John Nash really had Schizophrenia? Maybe if you’re a super genius, you could lose a few IQ points and still be a genius. Maybe they just had really bad bipolar or something…I don’t know how these people do it. I mean still be sick and yet be higher functioning than most people. I hear of doctors having SZ but how do they do it? I guess there are different degrees of schizophrenia…

In a way, he seems happier than most people.

Yea cause his symptoms are minor

Honestly I don’t know how Schizophrenics manage without meds.
It always amazes me.
I wouldn’t last a day without meds.

I could last a week or at most a few months but I always end up relapsing. Vraylar is different. It’s like I need it for energy or I get withdrawals.

My old doctor said some patients with girlfriends would skip a day in order to be with them…

I didn’t take meds the past 3 years and I’m a total trainwreck.

Just the past two weeks I’ve gone to the doctor to be put back on APs and that’s no guarantee I’ll stay on them,

However, I don’t want to end up like the picture,

So I’m going to try.

It would make sense if some people have a better condition than others, seems every disease has a range of severity. But it seems that it is the tiny minority of sz people that can function well without meds. It does seem that they call that condition schizotypical personality though

I think you wrong,Yes there is an spectrum like the autistic spectrum, a real autistic person can also talk and have a relationship, the fact that he does not rock all day does not mean that he does not suffer from autism for example, I would not call my function “good”, but I’m aware of the situation, for example, in class, they are all aware of the situation, so it’s easier for me when I can not stop moving my hands or when I react to things that are not there, I’m 35, it took me a million years to find out how to develop relationships with people, how not to shout at voices in the street, although sometimes I do shout, please do not cancel my Difficulties.as As a simulated kind of sz That Im not a schizophrenic just because i dont take meds, and there are also movements that promote psychotherapy and cognitive work on the face Medication, which is what I do, is a little unfair of you
