Started 325mg Ferrous Sulphate(Iron) tbs

I would imagine that is a reasonable cost for it. You can easily test iron levels by dropping a drop of blood in a solution of some chemical I forget. That’s how they determine if you are anemic before donating blood.

Would probably be easier to just call your doctor and ask if they’re willing to order you land so you have results for an upcoming appointment to discuss them. Then make an appointment to discuss supplements you can safely take.

Oh, on your blood test is there anything that says MCH? That is your hemoglobin, and it will usually be low if you are anemic. If it is a normal level, you probably aren’t anemic. But check with your doctor either way.

I too have started taking iron tablets thinking of my fatigue tired feeling. But when my ferritin levels checked (iron in blood) its way above normal. So need to be very careful when taking iron supplements as body cannot expel it easily and get deposited on various organs.

For me the reason for fatigue is low vitamin D. Mine was very low and when started taking vitamin D energy levels far better. Also I have low thyroid too and taking thyroid medication at proper dosage greatly helped. Another thing I was low on is vitamin B12 which too corrected. So check these and correct may be your low energy can be improved easily.
